About

Dr. Lucia Seminario-Vidal is a board-certified dermatologist at the Department of Cutaneous Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center, and an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida Department of Dermatology. She has a PhD in Cell and Molecular Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Seminario-Vidal specializes in general and complex dermatology, with a special interest in cutaneous lymphomas, drug eruptions, cutaneous diseases in immunocompromised patients, and skin cancers. She serves as the Associate Director of Dermatology Clinical Research, and as the Director of the Dermatology Consult service providing inpatient dermatology services at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Research

Dr. Seminario-Vidal has developed investigator-initiated studies and has participated in more than 30 clinical trials. With over 40 peer-reviewed articles published in scientific journals, Dr. Seminario-Vidal has presented her work at the local, regional, national, and international levels.

Clinical Care

Dr. Seminario is the lead dermatologist of the multidisciplinary cutaneous lymphoma clinic at Moffitt Cancer Center. In this clinic, each patient’s care plan is reviewed by a highly expert team of physicians with extensive, focused training in their area of specialty, giving them additional insights and knowledge to help make the best treatment decisions.

She serves as a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and an active member of the International Cutaneous Lymphoma Society, the United States Cutaneous Lymphoma Society, and the Society of Investigative Dermatology.

Community Involvement

Dr. Seminario enjoys working with medical students and residents in clinics, as well as in scholarly activities and research projects. She participates in several national committees, including the Scientific Committee of the Society of Dermatology Hospitalists and the External Grants Committee of the Women Dermatologic Society.

Honors and Recognition

Dr. Seminario-Vidal is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and holds active memberships in the International Cutaneous Lymphoma Society, the United States Cutaneous Lymphoma Society, and the Society of Investigative Dermatology. During her career, she has received numerous awards related to her clinical and research endeavors.
